Pat and Alison of Bloomington dropped off the bumpers from their 1971 Chevelle this spring, with a specific request: fill a few old holes and drill new pilot holes for the emblem. Their son Mike stopped by our booth at the MSRA Back to the Fifties Weekend to check on progress and confirmed which holes to keep using photos on our laptop. The story doesn’t end there. While walking the swap meet that same weekend, Mike spotted jack holes on another Chevelle bumper and realized his family’s bumper had the same ones. He flagged it with us on the spot, and we updated our notes. Later that week, we sent photos to confirm the additional holes before moving forward. When Pat and Alison picked up their bumpers, they were exactly what the family had pictured: holes filled, pilot holes drilled, and chrome finished to a flawless shine.
