Step 12: Quality Check

We’re almost there. Your bumper is now straight, patched, and plated, and it looks perfect, at least from a distance.

We’re almost there. Your bumper is now straight, patched, and plated, and it looks perfect, at least from a distance. But we want to make sure it looks great up close, too. Very close. So after the chrome is added, we send it over to our quality check inspection bench, where three dedicated inspectors hunt down imperfections. They search every inch of your bumper for dents, scratches, and the tiny pits that can often show up with chrome plating. Though our process is extremely refined, we still find defects from time to time; in the event of a defect, we strip the chrome and nickel off and restart the nickel plating process. We take the look of your bumper as seriously as you do. Of course, most bumpers turn up no defects at all, and are passed on to the final stage in the process: shipping.
